Martin Muhiu Gitonga is a seasoned business strategist and the Principal Consultant at Gundi Consulting. With over a decade of senior leadership experience spanning strategic sales, international development, humanitarian logistics, and corporate responsibility, Martin brings a rare combination of global commercial rigour and deep African market knowledge to every engagement.
Before founding Gundi Consulting, Martin held senior leadership roles at A.P. Moller – Maersk, one of the world's largest integrated logistics companies, where he shaped commercial strategy and built partnerships with the United Nations, international NGOs, and government institutions across Africa. His earlier career at DPDHL covered global sales strategy and public sector business development.
Martin is also a co-founder and director at several companies in experiential marketing, communications, and sports management — bringing cross-sector breadth to his advisory work.
Increasingly, Martin works with organisations as a Fractional Executive — embedded into leadership teams on a part-time basis as CEO, COO, CHRO, or Chief Strategy Officer. This model gives growing organisations access to C-suite thinking without the cost of a full-time hire.
